Create Your Own Beauty Calendar

It may only be October but Christmas always comes around quicker than you think and it’s never too early to get in the spirit (unless it’s still September - that is too early). When it comes to the beauty during the festive season, the first thing that springs to mind is advent calendars. 

Now, there are many things to love about a beauty advent calendar. Not only is there the element of surprise in not knowing what’s behind each window, but there’s also the purported cost benefit with many claiming to offer hundreds of pounds worth of products for a fraction of the price. 

What we don’t love so much, however, is paying to play potluck. The chances are, only half of the products will be suited to your skin type, skin tone and general taste (and that’s if you’re lucky). Plus, if we’re really honest (and at Beauty Pie, we’re ALL about honesty), a lot of the products that brands put inside advent calendars are sample-sizes or excess stock that didn’t sell. There, we said it.
