One of the things that’s most important to us at BEAUTY PIE is the power of the collective. That’s why building this incredible community, where everyone shares reactions and opinions and ideas, is one of the things that’s closest to our hearts. And we’re always thinking of ways that we can both deepen that sense of being part of something bigger, and also say thank you to our members for being along for the ride.
That’s where the idea for BEAUTY PIE Insiders came from. (That, and our obsession with making the absolute best beauty products in the world, and selling them for a lot less than the traditional luxury brands would have you pay).
Insiders is our name for a new series of products we’ll be launching that will only be available to buy when you’re a BEAUTY PIE member. We’ve been working with some of our top labs to create ‘blue sky’ products - they’re often super-advanced, or slightly niche, a bit boundary-pushing, or maybe so stuffed full of actives, they’re kind of exceptional.
And after we’ve done the internal approvals, panel testing and they’ve ticked all of our boxes (safety, legal, etc) each will launch as an ‘INSIDER’ item - meaning small-batch, limited-run production, available to our members only. (If you’re on a free trial, you won’t be able to buy Insider products - but if you choose to go onto a membership when your free trial ends, you’ll be able to buy Insider items straight away). And another plus: you can buy ‘Insider’ products without using any Spending Limit, either.

Once you’ve bought an Insider product and tried it for a couple of weeks (or more), what we ask is that you scan the QR code on the bottle (or click on the link in the email) to give us your no-holds-barred opinion of the product. “Think of it as being part of our NPD team,” says BEAUTY PIE founder Marcia Kilgore, “but without all the missing jar caps and failed stability testing issues and supplier relationship management nitty gritty. It’s the fun side of BEAUTY PIE!”
So why are we doing it? Firstly of course, because we love to hear what you think and want to ensure that the kinds of things we’re working on are the kinds of things you want to fill your shelves with, too. And also because in order to keep our prices as low as possible, we don’t want to fill our warehouse with things that you’d only consider ordering once in a blue moon, or that could have been ‘the one’ but for some specific reason, don’t quite hit the mark.
As a member of BEAUTY PIE, we know you already know a good thing when you see it, and so we want to get our heads together and make sure everything we do is truly special and exceptional. So the Insider products that everyone loves we know will be worthy of a place in our core lineup of products, available all year round. The ones that don’t quite tick everyone’s boxes? Back to the drawing board, and let’s never stop until we get it right.
What Makes an Insider?
Really, it could be anything: skincare, haircare, makeup, supplements, devices. The pricing of Insider products will be in line with the other products on our website.
For each launch, there will be a limited number of units available for Insiders to purchase which means that the products will be on a first-come-first-served basis. So definitely keep an eye on our emails and social media so you know when new ones are dropping. (And as they’re limited runs, once they’re gone, they’re gone - unless of course, we collectively decide to bring them back!)
