BEAUTY PIE Products - How BEAUTY PIE works

Q. What is Beauty Pie?

Beauty Pie is like a club for beauty lovers, founded by serial entrepreneur and change-maker Marcia Kilgore. We produce an ever-evolving expert edit of fantastic-quality beauty and wellness products, made in the world’s leading labs - and sell them to our customers … for a lot less than a product of the same quality would typically cost.

When you become a member of Beauty Pie, you unlock access to our world, including insider prices and exclusive members-only perks. In other words, you get all of the beauty and none of the bulls**t.

Q. How does Beauty Pie work?

Our team of highly-experienced product developers work with the world's leading beauty and wellness labs to source the very best formulas using the latest technology and ingredients.

By cutting out the middleman we can strip out the typical industry markups (which can be 10x the finished manufacturing costs), and pass those dramatic savings directly on to our customers.

Q. How much is Beauty Pie membership?

You have a couple of choices when it comes to becoming a Beauty Pie member. To figure out which option is right for you, you can sign up for a free trial with no strings attached - you can cancel at any time before the trial ends.

If you love your free trial, you can either buy a monthly membership for £10, or you can buy an annual membership for £59 (which works out at just £4.95/month). Find out more about how the free trial and membership works here.

Q. Is Beauty Pie cruelty free?

We are, and always have been, 100% cruelty free. Our products are not tested on animals - we don’t have our labs test on animals on our behalf, nor do we sell in territories that require us to test on animals.

Q. Are Beauty Pie products dupes?

We’re not in the business of copying other brands or reproducing products that already exist. We aim to create the best products on the market, and offer them to our customers at prices that cannot be beaten.

However, some of the labs that we work with also work with other luxury beauty brands (although we can’t name any names). Those brands just charge up to 10 times the amount it costs to produce the products.

Q. Can I buy Beauty Pie products without being a member?

You’re welcome to shop whether you’re in our club or not! Although our ultimate insider prices are reserved for our members.

Q. There’s so much choice, I don’t know what to try?

Our skincare, haircare and body-care have been expertly curated so... you can mix and match it and test different formulations, until you find a combination that best supports your hair or skin.

Our Alphabeticals Starter Kit is the ultimate streamlined starter routine and a great foundation for healthy skin. All you'll need is a great cleanser (try our best-selling Japanfusion Pure Transforming Cleanser) and then add in serums and masks that target your specifics concerns. Our skincare quiz will build a personalised, expertly curated routine in just a few minutes.

We also have a selection of haircare, bodycare, makeup and supplement kits that are a great way to explore our products, or check out our Bestsellers page to see what everyone else is loving right now.

Q. Now that I can afford all this great skincare, what’s the best way to layer it?

General rule of thumb for layering your skincare is that you put the least viscous (or runniest, thinnest, fastest-absorbing) product on your face first and layer in order of the next runniest, then the next, so that thickest ends up on the top. So after cleansing and toning/prep/mist, apply any active drops first, then any serums, then moisturisers. (Think of any Superactive Capsules like a serum, in this instance).

Use everything on your face and all the way down your neck. And do NOT forget your eye cream

Use everything on your face and all the way down your neck. And do NOT forget your eye cream, which yes, has been formulated differently, to make up for the reduced concentration of oil glands in the skin around your eyes. Sunscreen always goes on top, and the only thing that you layer over sunscreen would be makeup.

Now most skincare formulations can be easily layered over-top of each other, with no ill effects, but there is one common mistake: over-exfoliating. Because your skin’s barrier layer needs to be healthy and intact, and well balanced with enough natural oils and hydration to keep your skin from overreacting and being sensitive, unless you have an extremely oily complexion, or are suffering from stubborn acne, regular intense exfoliation is unnecessary and can unnecessarily sensitise your skin. And remember, some studies are now showing inflammation may be one of the biggest causes of ageing.

Most skincare formulations can be easily layered over-top of each other, with no ill effects, but there is one common mistake: over-exfoliating

Stick with a gentle daily exfoliating (like Micropeeling Super Drops, which are smoothing and antimicrobial, but at the same time hydrating, efficacy boosting, and amazing for all skin types) and keep your stronger acid exfoliators (like the Fruitizyme Five Minute Facial or the Super Pore-Detox Black Clay Mask or our Dr Glycolic tonic and peeling pads for once or twice a week. Q. Why don’t you ship to Ireland/Canada/Australia/Europe/Denmark yet?

We know this is frustrating for non UK/USA residents and we appreciate your patience and enthusiasm. We have two hurdles. The first (for Europe) is Brexit, which could throw a wrench into our ability to easily internationally ship. And the second is that really, to do this well, we need to deliver within two to three days, and splitting our warehouses and inventory into many small pieces is complicated. We’re going to have to walk before we run with new territories.

Q. Is your packaging eco-friendly?

We're not perfect yet, but we are always improving. Our cartons, shipping boxes and packaging materials are all fully recyclable. We're focusing on including as much recycled material in each product to reduce virgin material where we can, making some products refillable and as recyclable as possible, all while delivering the luxury experience you love!
