With party season well under way, you’re undoubtedly looking for some makeup inspiration to see you through the festivities. There’s lots to try, including a new take on the classic red lip (it’s about depth), a gentler smoky eye, and even something if your default makeup setting is ‘understated’. Each one will take five minutes, max - and we’ve road (party?) tested them on your behalf. Have fun (and look fabulous) out there!
Try the ‘gingerbread latte’ smoky eye
Your coffee gets a festive update, and now so does your eye makeup. ‘Latte’ shades are everywhere this season: so grab our classic James Molloy Deluxe Eyeshadow Quad in Smouldering Classics (wash the mid-brown, top left, onto lids, layer a wash of shimmer, top right, over the top, and apply either of the dark brown shades to the outer corners). Create some flutter with our Eyelash Curlers and add a coat of Wrap Star Mascara to finish. (Also, brows were prepped with Superbrow™ Angled Brow Pencil in Hot Coffee and groomed with Arch-Ology™ 2-in-1 Clear Brow Gel.)

And on the eyes? A simple, modern sweep of Supercolour Kohl Eyeliner in Brown Beauty, kept tight to the upper lash line, and a coat of The Perfect™ Waterproof Mascara (it’s totally budge-proof, so grab a bottle of The Perfect Eye Makeup Remover - you can buy them as a duo). And the final touch: Superbrow™ Luxe Precision Pencil in Perfect Brown.
Love a nude look? Add some spot-lighting
It’s about sheer, elegant, elevated neutrals, and strategic touches of glimmer. We created this super-modern, super-chic look by applying Wonderfilter™ Brightening Primer followed by Superluminous™ Tinted Complexion Brightener and Concealer to a moisturized complexion. Brows were brushed up and filled out with Superbrow™Angled Shaping Pencil in Hot Coffee and set with Arch-Ology™ 2-in-1 Clear Brow Gel.
Across the eyelids, apply Wondercolour Long Wear Cream Eyeshadow Stick in Brazillionaire and - right in the inner corners - Pati Dubroff Pro Glow Perfect Highlighting Stick in Soft Champagne. Add the same stick to the tops of cheekbones, Cupid’s bow - and anywhere else you’d like. Then, using fingertips, blend Supercheek™ Cream Blush in Sexy Berry along the cheekbones and pat on Futurelipstick™ Matte in All Day Long over the lips. Finish with a light sweep of Wonderfilter™ Sheer Magic Blurring Powder down the centre of the face.
