Omega-6 and Omega-3 are key Fatty Acids that should form part of a healthy, balanced diet1. Our diets tend to be higher in Omega 6 Fatty Acids than Omega 3 Fatty Acids, as they are found in foods such as nuts, seeds and plant oils. Essential Omega 3 Fatty Acids are found in fish – food we tend to eat less of. On average in the UK, adults consume only 1% from Omega-3 sources, compared to an average of 4.8% of Omega-6 of total energy intake2. There is no official recommended daily allowance for EPA and DHA, but most health organisations agree that 250–500mg of combined EPA and DHA is enough for adults.
BiOmega 3™ has been specifically created to help reduce this gap. It’s fish oil derived - rather than plant-derived - because fish oil contains a naturally higher concentration of EPA and DHA.
Our Omega-3 delivers high-dose levels of EPA and DHA and meets EFSA approved claims for normal function of your vision, brain and heart. Per 4 mini softgels, users get 800mg EPA and 532mg DHA.
A key difference?
Every batch of our Omega-3 oil is independently tested by the International Fish Oil Standards – the gold standard for testing purity and freshness of product. It’s an iron clad guarantee that our product is free from plastics, PCBs, heavy metals and oxidation.
We opted for mini-sized softgels with gel casings (also made from fish, rather than the industry’s ubiquitous bovine or pork gelatin), to make our Omega-3 easier to swallow and digest.
