Venus Williams at the Met Gala

The Met Gala is undeniably the highlight of the red carpet season. Organised by Vogue, the annual event is held on the first Monday of May at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York, and brings together celebrities, designers, and influencers from around the world to celebrate the museum’s Spring Exhibition. The star-studded event is known for its dizzying array of fashion statements from avant-garde creations to classic elegance, and for the breathtaking beauty looks that inspire, set trends and spark conversation.

This year, we worked with makeup artist Karina Milan to get tennis superstar Venus Williams ready for the Met Gala. We caught up with Karina to find out how she created this glowing look.

Prep

To prep the skin, I started with the Beauty Pie Depuffing Under-Eye Gel Pads. Face

First, I applied the the Beauty Pie Superluminous™ Under-Eye Genius (in Deep), the perfect wake-up make-up. Then, I applied the Beauty Pie Everyday Great Skin Foundation, the ultimate lightweight foundation infused with high-tech micro-pearls for a melt-away feel and natural matte finish; followed by the Beauty Pie Everyday Great Hyaluronic Blur Concealer. I also used the Beauty Pie Quick Colour Contour Supergel (Deep).

For the prettiest undertone, I used the Beauty Pie Awesome Bronze Gorgeous Sunkissed Bronzing Cream in Sunburst, a soft-matte cream bronzer that melts effortlessly into the skin.

For lips, I used the Beauty Pie Futurelipstick™ Matte in (Semisweet).

Body

For body, I used the Beauty Pie Super Healthy Skin™ Deluxe Body Moisture Crème (this stuff smells SO good) and I mixed it with the Beauty Pie Triple Beauty Luminizing Highlighter Wand (Champagne) for a soft shimmer on the body.
